Ingredients: 4 Granny Smith Apples; Peeled and chopped into large cubes; 2 Cups Self Raising Flour; 1 Cup Caster Sugar; 125g Butter; Melted; 1 Egg; Lightly Beaten; Cinnamon & Caster Sugar to Sprinkle on Top

This cake is a little like a rustic slice and is a simple and delightful dessert that combines the comforting flavours of apple and cinnamon. I make this on repeat and its my most popular dessert!

It's comfort food at it's best.

The batter is quite thick , so its more of a "dessert" cake than a "cake" cake.

Ingredients

Method

Mix apples, flour and sugar in a large mixing bowl. Add butter and egg, stir until well combined.
Press into a lined slice tray and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.
Bake at 180 degrees for 30 minutes or until cooked.
Serve with ice cream or custard. Enjoy!
